LIKE DANCING WITH BUTTERFLIES

Playing hard to get
I feel she’s doing
Doing a little tease

She gives an opening
To close it again
Inviting and warm one time
The next cold and hostile

I would have wearied
But I call to mind
My younger years
So much like today

She leads me up
She leads me down
Gives me hope
To take it away again
Perhaps she’s playing games
Or it’s the way she is

I would have wearied
But I call to mind
My younger years

Chasing brightly coloured butterflies
One time near another time far
Sometimes I caught and sometimes not
Still there’s one thing one can’t deny
It’s always fun dancing with butterflies

Thus these very days
Remind me of my younger years
For the extension of the chase
Is a fun in itself
