Common cold otherwise known as catarrh is a common ailment during the rainy season. It has been believed that it is caused by cold but medical scientists are trying to bust it as a myth. Common cold is in reality caused by a myriad number of viruses, over two hundred in number, but the most dominant one is the rhinovirus. But my own research shows that cold conditions play a part in activating the dormant viruses to cause catarrh. The viruses are contracted by touching contaminated surfaces and bringing it close to the nose and mouth, or by inhaling sneeze droplets released into the air. When these droplets are inhaled into the lungs, the body release antibodies to fight the viruses. This fight results in the swelling of the upper respiratory tract, the throat and the nose, and the release of mucus. The symptoms include sneezing, blocked nose and running nose. An old argument is that everyone is a child of God, since we are all made by him. Many people believe this, many teach it, and many more still live by it. But are we all children of God just because he made us?  Well, we're do not become God's children by default of creation. From among all the nations of the earth, God chooses his people.
